What is Trump’s Preparation for the inauguration?

President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration is scheduled for Monday, January 20, 2025. Due to forecasts of severe cold weather, the ceremony has been moved indoors to the U.S. Capitol Rotunda, marking the first indoor inauguration since Ronald Reagan’s in 1985.

Key Preparations:

Venue Change: The ceremony’s relocation to the Capitol Rotunda necessitates rapid adjustments. Workers are constructing a stage inside the Rotunda to accommodate the event.

Security Measures: Despite the indoor setting, security remains a top priority. Approximately 25,000 security personnel will be deployed to ensure the safety of attendees and the smooth execution of the ceremony.

Notable Attendees:

President-elect Trump will be joined by prominent figures, including tech industry leaders Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg. Their presence underscores the administration’s connections with influential business figures.

Political Context:

Several Democratic members of Congress have announced plans to boycott the inauguration, citing various reasons, including the event coinciding with Martin Luther King Jr. Day and concerns about the incoming administration’s policies.
